Inside Dreamy Spaces with : @hope_and_jade episode 006
Welcome to today's episode of Inside Dreamy Spaces. On today's episode we are joined by Alyce, the gorgeous boss babe behind Hope and Jade. Alyce has created the most magical space for her daughters Savannah and Siennah. Their shared room is one of a kind and it's filled with so much magic! Alyce has creatively captured their personalities in the space so beautifully, it truly is magical.
CAN YOU TAKE US THROUGH THE INSPIRATION BEHIND YOUR DAUGHTERS SHARED BEDROOM?
When coming up with the inspiration for my daughters shared room, I really just looked at their personalities, and incorporated a lot of their ideas and their interests and what really reflects them, because they are at an age where they were both able to tell me what they like, and could show me what they wanted. They also really enjoyed being involved in the design process.
I just loved being able to create a room for them that they love, that they enjoy and feel comfortable in. They both have such an interest in finding things that match and finding things that go together, so having them involved was a really exciting and enjoyable experience for all of us.
We did also try to incorporate a lot of girly features for them. They are very girly girls and they love all thing magic, unicorns, fluffy tu-tus.
They both love to dance so we incorporated a lot of little ballet shoe garlands and plaques that say 'little dancer'. Including a lot of things that reflect them and truly show who they are in the room which makes it so special.
IF YOU HAD TO PICK YOUR FAVOURITE FEATURE IN THE ROOM, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
My favourite feature in the girls' room would be the beautiful fabric wall decals that we have in a few locations. When I designed their room, I really wanted to keep the base quite neutral, so the walls and all the main furniture items are white or very pale grey,
because I did want the room to be able to grow with the girls and be able to be updated and changed around with just a few simple decor pieces, rather than having to repaint the entire room. The fabric wall decals allowed me to add some beautiful colour and texture to the room and because they are removable they can simply be taken off,
moved around to different areas of the room or be completely replaced without doing any damage or leaving any marks on the walls. So they've been a great addition to the room and the girls love them.
